sole survivor of the september purge

…and two weeks later…

I’m not sure about using the white matelese coverlet–it wrinkles– to cover the foam cushion, but the old quilt’s colors are too busy.

I wish I had been born with a decorating gene.  I guess I missed that perk because I was off eating peaches and wasn’t paying attention.

I also missed the “fashion diva” gene, too.  My mother did the best she could, but nothing stuck (except for the “you can never have too many earrings” mantra).

Three weeks later…

Okay, one more try.  This time with the new curtain rod (which looks bowed, but isn’t really, I don’t think…maybe the drapes are pulling it down?) and my favorite old ebay drapes.

I think I need some black pillows?  Or more aqua?  Or maybe I should just ignore all those pillows and play the fiddle instead.

Good idea.

  1. Linda's avatar Linda says:

You’ve achieved decorating nirvana, time to get the fiddle out.

  2. Yes, ma’am!
btw, I saw a row of sparkly new accordions at a music store yesterday and thought of you. So I took a picture–will put on the blog soon.
