I’ve debated all morning–and yesterday, too–about how to write this.
If to write this.
But our grief is heavy. I can’t blithely blog about Newport and lobsters and our broken stove while I’m crying.
Banjo Man and I are hurting for My French Friend Janou and her family. It is so hard to be so far away from them right now.
David passed away yesterday, while in his bed in front of his beautiful view of the lake he loved so much. His family surrounded him.
He was a teacher, an artist, a dedicated rower, athlete, husband, father and grandfather.
He will be missed so very much.

Our hearts, too, are sadden by the loss of this man, David, who has been the Guardian of many things in his life. He was a man of strength, honor and integrity. He was the protector and provider of his beautiful family until the day he died! What a powerful love💕 His energy will always be here in Hope where he was one with the lake. He is physically gone but will continue on through the love of family and friends🙏
You said it so beautifully.
We are so very sorry to learn of the death of your friend. May wonderful memories remain.

Thank you, Marge. We are still in shock and so very sad.
