What was 1/2 price at Wal-Mart last Friday:

Okay, I know this isn’t the best photograph. The darn things wouldn’t hold still.
They are a little sad, a little droopy, but they are what they are and what they are is tulips. And I do love tulips. And daffodils. You can keep your roses, thank you very much. And don’t put me anywhere near a lily unless you have a box of tissues handy.
I once toured a Newport mansion (The Breakers, the biggest of all) on a snowy December evening. There was a choir and many Christmas trees and wreaths and tinsel and candles and…lilies. Lilies in every freakin’room. I drove home with Kleenex stuffed up my nostrils.
Well, that was a lovely holiday memory.
Anyway…
All you gardeners let me know when your tulips are up, will you?

There are no tulips here Kristine. The deer eat them. They are like a dark chocolate bar to them. Crunch, crunch, crunch.
😦
I guess it should have been munch, munch, munch. I don’t think tulips have much crunch in them.
