Look carefully.

This is a very rare tomato.  A survivor, after several battles with the deer.

Here are the guys
Who bought the lattice
That went under the deck
And kept out the deer
That ate all the tomatoes
From my very first garden.

I wished they looked a little happier about it.
They’re my heroes.  Why aren’t they filled with joy?

Here’s what I had for lunch.  I am living off the earth now.
