Okay, this was a little out of the way. But how many ancient prehistoric sites can you actually visit in America?
A lot, actually. And many of them are in Ohio.
We’d missed the mound at Flint Ridge the day before. We still don’t know how, because we were at exit 42 and we knew we needed to get off on exit 41 and then we started talking and all of a sudden we realized we hadn’t seen the exit.
That had happened the day before, too, so we have resolved to talk less and concentrate more. We are hoping this will work.
So today we left the hotel at 8 AM and headed south to the hills of Ohio and the Serpent Mound. Because it was the summer solstice (a big day at the Mound due to the alignments of the serpent) there was going to be a fair and general merriment.
I love merriment. I told Banjo Man there might be naked pagan dancing.
