inhaling blue

While waiting for Banjo Man to join me at the car for a trip to the dump yesterday afternoon, I looked up.

Oh, what a shade of blue!

I grabbed my phone and took a picture, of course, but the color isn’t as deep a blue in the photo as it was in the sky.

I tried again, using a filter.

Nope, not the right color either.

Are these better?  Closer, yes.  But the real thing was better.  As it usually is.

So I leaned against the car, looked up at the sky and took many, many deep breaths.  When Banjo Man finally stepped aside he asked me what I was doing.

“Inhaling blue,” was my response.

My favorite color.

Exact problem in trying to capture the sky in a painting…never as good as the real thing. Beautiful.

Graham and Ben hate the word ‘mindfulness’.
So we don’t use the word but there are times when we need to come back to our center – – if we get angry, frustrated, sad, whatever. My example to them is touching my center chest lightly with my fingertips, raising my head and eyes a bit and envisioning a blue sky and whatever is included.
As of now, I have a new blue sky to envision.
    Thank you. ❤️

Don’t know why the site says my comment is awaiting moderation. Any thoughts?

For some reason it did not post so I will repeat. 🤔

Graham and Ben do not like the word ‘mindfulness’.
But there are times when one has to come back to one’s center. If one is getting angry, sad, frustrated, etc. My example to them is that I touch my chest with my fingertips, lift my head and eyes just a bit and envision a blue sky and whatever it encompasses.
Now I have a new blue sky to envision. Thanks.

    Blue skies
    Smiling at me
    Nothing but blue skies
    Do I see
A pretty good song for old timers.
