amish shopping

We are tucked into bed in Shipshewana, Indiana, our favorite Amish town. Our travel time was under three hours, so we slept late and eventually returned to I-80.

Last fall I bought a cloth dish scrubbie thing here, so first stop was a store called Country Elegance. And they were 1/2 price so I bought all 10 of them.

A triumph!

We ate lunch, then Banjo Man bought popcorn, almond butter and canned beef (for a future feast at the cabin, he told me).

I bought sewing machine oil.

He bought a new souvenir coffee mug. And a new pair of overalls.

There was a bit of a panic when Bank Man couldn’t find the bag with his clean underwear. I had no sympathy. If you could see that car you’d understand.

Time for pictures:

Our hotel.

He is cheerfully waiting in the car while I buy my dish scrubbers.

And he did not question why I bought so many.

So I said nothing about the five pound bag of popcorn kernels.

Good night.
