Father of the Bride

Exactly one year from today, there will be a wedding here.  Right here.   In front of the newly-rebuilt fountain (try to imagine water flowing from the top rock into three separate rock pools).

But first, my husband declared, there must be a new fence.  He has been working on it for weeks.  We are heading west in six days, so the pressure is on to finish.  Meanwhile, Nancy and I browse bridal magazines and purchase paper napkins with gerbera daisies on them.  It’s a good start.

Anglers all.

This guy likes to fish.

So does this one.

And this one.  He takes fishing very seriously.  And always wears sunscreen.

Not this one.  He would rather hold hands with his sweet wife, even though she is a Longhorn fan.

This young lady from Nebraska has great style.

And so does this guy.  He can play tennis and fish at the same time.

 He caught a fish, too.

15 more days and counting…

Yes, this is me last summer.  Sittin’ on the dock of the bay wastin’ time.  And yes, I’m ready to hit the road and say hello to the lake again.  We leave June 23.  How wonderful is that?
