it’s not a casino, but…

Yesterday Harley Chick and I headed north to Grafton, Massachusetts to pick up her Aunt Pat and do a little fabric shopping and a lot of visiting.

You may remember past outings:

Aunt Pat and Harley Chick in 2018.

Though I swore to myself–and to the world–that I would not succumb to the temptation to buy fabric yesterday, I did.  I even had a 20% off coupon.

Do you think I have a problem?

Don’t answer that.  I’m fragile.

I like these browns.  I want to make a brown and blue quilt for the new bed in my office at the lake.  No flowers.  Outdoorsy prints.  Masculine.  My sewing energy has been pretty low these past weeks.  Aunt Pat and HC were amused by my description of a recent “quilting injury”, hip pain brought on by hours of awkward stretching to reach the pedal during marathon machine quilting sessions.

Really, it was ridiculous.  I definitely should have known better.

And then the was the Quilt of 10,000 Pieces, which is back in its box once again.

But…giving in to temptation has inspired me to create something in March.  The sun is shining.  Winter is over.  Carloads of “stuff” have been donated to worthy charities and we–fingers crossed–leave for the lake in forty-two days.

Which gives me plenty of time to create something new.

Can you call it an addiction if you actually use it?

So…I will look to the “Good Book” for inspiration…”Let he/she who is without sin cast the first stone”…I can’t find any stones – they are all buried under piles of fabric!!!
